Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the DroneReporter mobile application (the "App") operated by Kinami ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

DroneReporter lets you report and view drone sightings on a shared map. You can submit observations with photos and location data, and browse observations submitted by other users. You can also run a live tracking session, which streams your position and the direction your phone is pointing while the session is open, and turn on alerts for confirmed drone activity near you.

2. Your Account

• You must sign in with Apple or Google to submit observations.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may delete your account at any time. Do it in the app, under Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You can also email tomo@kinami.io, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
• Deleting your account deletes your email address, your name, your registered devices, your tracking sessions and the photos you uploaded, and withdraws your reports from the shared map. Our Privacy Policy sets out what survives as an anonymous record.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated drone observations.
• Upload photos that are illegal, obscene, or violate the rights of others.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service.
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable law.

We may remove observations or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Your Content

• You retain ownership of photos and observations you submit.
• By submitting an observation, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it in the App, to make it available to the public authorities responsible for the airspace, and to use it for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy (aggregated analysis of drone activity). The Privacy Policy states which of these is active today.
• You may delete your observations at any time.

5. Location Data and Safety

• The App records your GPS location when you submit an observation. This is the location of you, not the drone.
• During a live tracking session the App records your position and the direction your phone is pointing about once a second, until you stop the session. It records no video and no audio.
• Your reports appear on the shared map that every signed-in user sees. Do not report from a place you would rather keep private.
• Do not put yourself in danger to report a drone sighting. Your safety comes first.
• The App is for civilian reporting only. If you believe a drone poses an immediate safety risk, contact local authorities.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of observations submitted by users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinami shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.
